This work is influenced by my interest in the divine feminine - the matriarchal Goddess who makes an appearance in nearly every culture since antiquity. She takes many forms‚ and is often closely associated with animals and birds‚ in this case owls. Legend says that the Goddess Athena chose the owl as her companion because of her wisdom.
